Definitive solutions from 100% synthetic waste

Everyone talks about environmental protection ‐ we practice it and reduce the CO2 emissions

About us: Sustainability - The benefits of Relumat2000™ and our philosophy

Relumat2000™ is made 100% from recycled plastic. A main source of this plastic is represented by the plastic bags.

As such, a few interesting facts about plastic bags are listed below

The plastic bag was introduced more than 40 years ago. Since then, its popularity has steadily increased, and the nowadays society experience an "addiction to plastic bags". The result: a consumer rate of more than 500,000,000,000 (500 billion) plastic bags per year, representing about 1 million per minute

Disposable polyethylene bags cause the most damage. Once produced, they continue to pollute our planet for up to 1,000 years.

According to the Wall Street Journal, 100 billion plastic bags per year are consumed in the US alone. 12 million barrels of oil are needed to produce this number of bags.

Plastic bags are the reason for the deaths of more than 100,000 sea turtles and other marine life, which unfortunately try to consume these bags as food.

According to the BBC, only 5 out of 200 plastic bags are recycled in the United Kingdom.

According to WSJ Target, the largest retailers in the US are buying more than 2.8 billion bags per year.

We are the ones who want to actively shape a brighter future!

Our goal: to get the planet rid of plastic waste

The situation

5 huge carpets of plastic waste are already “swimming” in our oceans. The biggest one, floating in the Pacific Ocean, is as big as Central Europe, i.e. as large as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Luxembourg, Hungary and the Czech Republic together. If the pollution progresses at the current rate, the oceans will be completely covered in garbage within a few years. Sounds like bad disaster movie, but unfortunately it is already the bitter truth.

Our idea

We want to draw the public’s attention, make the situation and the consequences visible to everyone, and implement a forward-looking solution.

The solution

Using innovative technologies, we will collect the plastic waste from the oceans, sort and shred it, and reintegrate it into the recycling loop.
